This is a beautiful example of the rarely found 1935 G-Date Model Mauser Manufactured Pistole-08. The chamber marking represent the military contract year of production and this example is a1935 dated Luger. This is a full rig with an all matching 1935 dated Luger, a 1935 dated holster, a 2nd matching magazine and proofed loading tool. When your are talking about a "bring back" this Luger was captured intact with the everything.  (1897)

NOTE: Photographs taken today with the high mega-pixel camera show more than we sometimes can see with the human eye. Magnified close-ups show us tool marks and natural surface conditions that one normally doesn't see in the ordinary handling of the weapon.  Photographs are copyrighted, all rights reserved, any extraction, reproduction or display of gun pictures without the express consent of the Phoenix Investment Arms is strictly prohibited. This Parabellum is 9mm police gun in a 100mm barrel length with all matching serial numbers to include matching, original grips. Serial number placement is in the military ("exposed") style. The thumb safety is marked 'Gesichert' and safe is down and the extractor "Geladen" (Loaded).  The barrel is numbered and proofed and matches the frame.  The bore is good with distinctive lands and groove.  The thumb safety is new style (Type III), and  straw blued.
Mauser-Werke and Berliner-Karlsruher Industrie-Werke (BKIW), [BKIW was the successor to DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken)] had common ownership.  In 1930 the machinery, technicians and supplies were moved from Berlin-Wittenau to Oberndorf and BKIW's interest in the Parabellum ceased.
Serial number placement is standard military; front frame, under the barrel,  the side plate, the extractor, the safety, the sear bar retaining pin and the majority of the internal parts are serial numbered. The magazine bottoms are matching numbers with the correct suffix and proofed at the bottom with drooped wing Eagle 63.

Hitler's rise to power came in 1932 with his appointment as Chancellor by von Hindenburg to whom Der Füehrer paid great respect.

The Mauser Code S/42 appears on the first toggle link and the "V" cut rear sight and last two digits of the serial number appear on the rear toggle.

The K-Date (1934) magazines were the early silver sleeved, some left from DWM/BKIW until they were used up and when gone simple crimped blued sleeved were integrated into the production line.
The front sight blade is aligned with the "v" cut rear sight for a battle sight of 50 yards. Note the last two digits of the serial number on the rear main axel pin.  In 1932 the Reichswehrministerium issued an order that the rear connecting pin be serial numbered to the gun which was required by order in 1933. This pin at the very rear reflects the "71" last two digits of the serial number.
One cannot see the small 2mm "hump" distinctive of the Mauser frame to protect the rear main axel pin in full recoil, therefore it can be assumed this was a DWM manufactured frame that was used until the milling was set up for the Mauser frames.
The magazines were the early silver sleeved, some left from DWM/BKIW until they were used up, the bottoms are matching numbers with the correct suffix and proofed at the bottom.
The inside of the gun is clean and reflects the effort for cleaning the past 40 years. Lugers that are stored for any period of time should have the wooden grips at least waxed on the inside to protect contact with the metal. The barrel is strong and shiny.  Questions to Josef@phoenixinvestmentarms.com

In the early days of the NDSP Hitler wore the SA uniform. When the growth of the SA got bigger than the Wehrmacht the General Staff felt threatened by Eric Rohm their leader and his idea that he was as powerful as Hitler.  This was dealt with in the Night of the Long Knives when the SS purged the leadership of the SA.

The holster is still in excellent condition. The back is hard leather (smooth grained) and the front is soft and pliable. The interior strap is attached and functional and the buckle is intact with no defects.  Still showing the white stitching.
Open Holster flap shows the clean stitching on the loading tool pouch and the white original stitching on the body and cover. Mauser was assigned codes for dates during this period with the "K"-Date being 1934 and the "G"-Date 1935. Krieghoff followed a similar pattern of "G"-Date and then "S" Date for 1936 but both arms companies went to full dating during 1936.
Between the belt loops is the manufacturers cartouche with the 1935 date stamped in the leather.  Also one can see the Drooped wing Reichsadler (Eagle) acceptance stamp.  The "G" Date (1935 holster is very hard to find in good conditon as this one.
Nice and clean this holster is still subtle and the stitching is intact. The pull strap is still intact and the buckle and tabs are strong.
The grips are serial numbered to the gun with a large number which appears characteristic for these early models.  The loading tool has the drooped wing Eagle 63 to match the gun and from the wear it was probably issued with this holster and G-Date.

Once Chancellor of Germany Hitler began to adopt a more business style uniform that still let him display his Iron Cross but did not complete with his General Staff's uniforms.

One cannot see the small 2mm "hump" distinctive of the Mauser frame to protect the rear main axel pin in full recoil, therefore it can be assumed this was a DWM manufactured frame that was used until the milling was set up for the Mauser frames.
Above Right: With the side plate removed you can see the trigger, which was straw blued and the last two digits of the serial number are present.
The most distinctive feature of these pistols is undoubtedly the toggle-lock mechanism, which holds the breech closed by locking in a manner not unlike the human knee, which can sustain a heavy weight when straight, but once bent is quite easy to continue to bend. The toggle joint in its straight position resists the rearward force of the detonating cartridge, then "buckles" after enough time has passed. When a round is fired the entire breech, barrel and toggle move straight rearward (on rails) until the toggle begins to ride up on a pair of cams that "breaks" the toggle (makes it bend at the joint).
Once the toggle joint is no longer straight, it bends freely, allowing the bolt to come rearward, and the striker to be cocked. The spent cartridge is extracted by a combination extractor/loaded chamber indicator on the top of the toggle; it is ejected as the toggle nears the end of its rearward free travel compressing the spring in the grip and returning the breach to battery. A new round is stripped from the magazine and chambered as the toggle is driven back to the straight position by the spring.
It is entirely subjective to give any Luger a rating of excellent or fine, just as it is to declare it xx% blued or strawed. Few Lugers are out of the box new and these are premium priced. Bluing percentages is like Beauty, in the eye of the beholder. We would rather answer your questions and provide you with photographs than ship guns back and forth. Adolf Hitler(20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP); National Socialist German Workers Party). He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Führer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945.
Hitler's Nazi Party became the largest democratically elected party in the German Reichstag, leading to his appointment as chancellor in 1933. Following fresh elections won by his coalition, the Reichstag passed the Enabling Act, which began the process of transforming the Weimar Republic into the Third Reich, a single-party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideology of National Socialism.

This is a good clean example of the Mauser 1935, G-Date. It has shows the Mauser pre-war deep blue and displays minor holster wear. There appears to be no pitting or damage to the surface and represents a fine example of that period Luger. This Luger has been cared for over the years and shows well both inside and out. The barrel is strong with distinctive lands and grooves.  Below you can see the numbers on the extractor, at the back of the first toggle link  and the last two digits of the serial number on the rear toggle.
This offering includes the all matching G-Date (3rd Variation), two matching magazines, a 1934 dated holster and the proofed loading tool.  As complete as the day it was surrendered.

Right: The barrel is marked on top with E63 and on the frame and small parts is the full serial number and the last two digits of the serial number.

A ceremony for Veterans in Munich in 1939.  Veterans were honored in the Nazi era  as defenders of the German people.
Hitler passing down the The Blutfahne or Blood Flag, is the Nazi German hakenkreuz flag that was used in the failed Beer Hall Putsch in Munich, Germany on 9 November 1923, during which it became soaked in the blood of one of the SA members who died. It subsequently became one of the most revered objects of the Nazi Party. It was used in ceremonies in which new flags for party organisations were consecrated by the Blood Flag when touched by it.
