Trommel Magazine Unloader

This is a Trommel magazine unloader that is designed to fit over the end of the 32 round snail drum magazine made for the artillery (200mm barrel) Lange Pistole Parabellum. When the handle is depressed the spring loaded key slides behind the top round in the magazine. [Trommel Magazine not included.] (AC73)

NOTE: Photographs taken today with the high mega-pixel camera show more than we sometimes can see with the human eye. Magnified close-ups show us tool marks and natural surface conditions that one normally doesn't see in the ordinary handling of the weapon. Raising the handle pushes the top round out of the magazine and then the action is repeated until the magazine has been emptied.

All the parts are serial numbered and the Bing proof shows on the sleeve that fits over the magazine. This is the second one that we have seen in forty years and may represent a design for testing or simply a field expedient. There is no text found in any reference book regarding an "official unloader" so it is what it is. This unique tool is offered for $1,500.00 from an old collection.
